Hudson Valley Community College ranked third in the Times Union’s 2019 “Best of the Capital Region” readers’ poll. The official results, announced March 28, for Best College are:
1. University at Albany
2. Siena College, Loudonville
3. Hudson Valley Community College, Troy
4. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy
5. The College of Saint Rose, Albany
The results nearly match the 2018 poll and Hudson Valley Community College again is the only two-year college to place among the top colleges in the region. Prior to 2015, the poll included a “best two-year college” category, in which Hudson Valley took first place for six consecutive years (2009-2014). In 2018, Hudson Valley was second and Siena College was third.
This was the 22nd year of the reader’s poll. The Times Union reported receiving a record 24,000 responses to its survey (compared to 14,430 last year) and tallying 360,000 votes.
Thanks for voting!
